Its coming to his second week of his december holidays. He is really making full use of it. He wokes up at 9 and immediately have breakfast. Usually we would have him shower and brushed his teeth first... Oh well.

Brought Adam to Takashimaya today. Went there because, supposedly there is a battling station for B-Daman. But it turned out to just be a promoter stand, promoting the items for sale. He was disappointed at first, but the promoter was so sweet. He brought him along the small space, and engaged Adam in how to make the best B-Daman. Adam, obliged, gleefully. I guess, he did brought back some good memories of being in Takashimaya that day. Oh, we picked Su up on the way and yeah, he was happy.

Took this yesterday. It was administration day so he did not have to go to school. This is him, tickled by Idris's antics. You know something is just very right looking at his face.

One of Adam's goldfish died today. I got the news when he sent a message to my mother-in-law.
It reads.. "My goldfish died while I was changing the water. It died with its mouth wide open." It was quite a sad moment for me. He is a very sensitive boy. I know he was sad. So I did the best thing I know. I became sincere and told him that I am proud of him being able to take care of the fish for so long. And I told that he is a good boy, I was not there with him, but I hope that those words cheered him up.

This picture shows the two cousins with the cameras. I "sold" Irsyad the EP2. I hope he will make the most use of it.

Adam went down to play soccer with his friends. Tri and Idris went along. He has just finished his exams and I think he deserves the break. I hope his friends turn up.

Olympus Ep1

This is the camera I bought for Adam. Its the Olympus EP1. Its is in a very good condition. I got it for only $80. The lens cost me $190. So this whole set up made me $200 dearer.
I plan to bring him out for a photography session. Soon.

He is checking out the forms for the OKto Cup. He has been doing soccer in his PE lessons and he felt good about it.
One day, he saw the advert on the OKto cup and he wanted to participate. The problem was, he had to gather 6 other persons to participate. His friends finally gave the go-ahead to participate in the OKto cup.
The snag was, the cut off date is tomorrow. He not only have to fill up the form but each individual members have to get the parents approval in writing. He was shocked! He asked if he could be back later tomorrow, with the intention of getting the required signature. And not only that, he had to have photographs of all of his members. Seeing that one of his members is staying all the way in Tampines, I think not. So what I did was to advise him to do his best. Gather the forms on Monday, and we will write an appeal letter to OKto. I think that that is reasonable, seeing that their exams is still going on.

I am so proud seeing his organisational skills at work. I think he will make a great leader one day. Just need a little more focus and a little less overexcitedness...

I got myself a new toy. And with that new toy, I got this image of Adam. That's him prawning. Its about $18 an hour. We got about 5 prawns. The kind people let use have frozen ones to make it to about a kilo.

Brought back to Woodlands and my mother-in-law cooked them with tumeric and potatoes. My nephew loves them. Thanks to Adam who caught them all.

Adam, back from school

Have not update this blog for a while. I guess that's saying alot about the many things I must have missed.
This is a picture of Adam. Sometime next year, he would have had his first taste of a National Examination, the PSLE. Then he will be officially a teenager.
This is him, in his PE attire just back from school. He is with his brother, playing. He loves his brother very much. Every body can see it. And his brother emits such a happy emotions whenever he is back from school. Both of them, and us are extremely lucky.

Its sept holidays now but he has to attend to supplementary classes until Wednesday. Bummer.

Cupcakes, out of this world! These are made by one of my ex student's sister. They are not cheap and they are rich. I love them. Adam loves those with the oreos. I like those with the kit kats sticks. They were worth it, anything is worth it for my champion.

Family. This is one of the things family are for. To participate in family events. And to celebrate Adam's 10 year-old birthday is a family event. Although some were not here, nevertheless, the family cannot be broken. From far they send their regards and even if they have to leave early, they were there. Yes, Adam, you are significant. Adam had his cast removed today. Doctor certified that there is no broken bones, just some contusion. He is still on crutches, but he is getting better. If by tomorrow, he still needs it, I think he will be better off at home.

Adam on crutches

Still on crutches. It's almost bee n a week. His review is on the 17th, this Wednesday. He has not been to school since last Wednesday. He did mentioned that he is bored at home.

He has been working on his assessment books almost daily. Seeing that he might missed more than a few lessons.

Adam on crutches

It has been 3 days since Adam has his leg placed in a cast. I cried most of the first 2 days, in private , of course. I can't seem to accept that he is in that condition.
He was kicked on the knee during one of his swimming session. As a result, he cannot straightened his leg. Brought him to the GP who refers him to the A & E. We reach KK at 2130 and only reached home at 0230. I am feeing better now and he is in high spirits. I guess it could not have been better. Enjoying listening to his chatter right now. And my nephew is here too.
Going for the review on the 17th. Hopefully he would have recovered and there would be no need for surgery.

Clark Quay

Tante

Today marked the first time that he went out with my sister. She took him and Wawa to a play. He enjoyed it very much, did not stop talking about it on the way back.

Tante, it seems brought them for a long walk before having dinner at Mc Donald's. After which they took a "scary and very fast" bus ride back to Tante's house. I picked him up from there. I feel very proud of him, seeing how well he behave when we are not around. And also, how he now knows about how Clark Quay is pronounced.

That is Adam, all 10 and a half years of him. He is holding a pram and in that pram is his baby brother. Out for the first time, besides the doctor visits.
Adam just came back from school and we thought of surprising him. And yes, he was surprised.

We have just had the study room redone into a guest room. But there is still space for a study table. So, this is Adam doing his homework on the new study table while Idris and the mother sleeps behind him.
He is 11 years old this year. Getting bigger and stronger each year. I hope being wiser and smarter come along with the package.
